Another for 'Ball Boys'
This is the scene where the main character, Benji, confronts the older kids who are drinking and throwing a football by the lake. Benji's here to get his baseballs back. The truck is Ricky's, or Dick, as Benji likes to call him.

Ball Boys
This is a concept for a shot in an original story I'm adapting into a graphic novel of sorts. About these high school boys who get their baseballs taken by a bully senior. The story is about them manning up and looking out for each other to get their balls back. Major 'Mud' inspiration here.

Swamped
Brewed this up in my sketchbook today, then took it into Photoshop to paint. I've never caught a fish, so I'm not sure what this guy is feeling right now.

Young Outlaws on All Things Texas
Chris Bourke and I produced Young Outlaws about 2 years ago. It is work we're still proud of today because of all the heart we put into it. Here is the film on All Things Texas hosted by Vimeo.

'Love, Emily'... Success!
Almost a year after it's completion, this very short film by my roommate, Chris Bourke, and I made it to Austin Film Festival! It screened twice alongside some brilliant eye-opening shorts in a series called, 'The World Comes of Age'. One of which, 'Asad', a 17 minutes short dramedy about a boy's struggle in Somalia, won the festival's Best Narrative Short. After it finished screening, our film was coming up, Chris whispered to me, 'Kev, our film is about s**t.' We are so proud to have been part of the scene. It is a prestigious festival and everyone who was a part of this film is talented and awesome; Ben Wiley and his parents, Samantha Massie and her parents, Chris, and our parents, Denny, Allie Lane, Bret Seidler, our professor Ed Radtke and my whole class that workshopped the script. Congratulations. The film can't be online yet. But I will post it soon as it is.
